This is the website of the Thai Military Bank, which has its own flag. The same page contains an explanation of this corporate-identity symbol. At any rate, it seems an odd bank: only for soldiers, their families and veterans, and with branches in Vientiane (Laos) and Ho Chi Minh city, ex-Saigon (Vietnam).
Eduardo Martin, 25 Nov 2002From the website:
TMB's corporate identity is now reflected in a new symbol redesigned and presented as Identity Flag and at the same time used as its corporate logo. The flag-like design, in white, red and blue, characterizes TMB's 3 elements of unity and strongly identifies with the country's national flag but has its own special meanings.
The blue on the top left corner of the flag signifies TMB's shareholders from which came the true basis of TMB's corporate entity.
The large strip of white background in the middle running down from top right corner to the bottom left corner represents the organization's principles of transparency, integrity, honesty and clarity.
The red section at the bottom right corner of the flag signifies the patronage of our customers-like the vital blood system that keeps a human body alive.
This new TMB's corporate symbol is now on display at every branch office. It gives the public a strong signal of TMB's commitments to the highest standards in its banking services.
