Coat of arms

Tula’s coat-of-arms shows [tools] forming an asterisk (all three of them are white), one golden hammer above them and one below, the background is red.

Description in the regulations of city as of on 8 March 1778:

in the red field, on two silver blades in the shape of a St Andrew cross, a silver gun stem; above and below two gold hammers; all this symbolizes the arms factory located in the city.
