About the flag

It’s flag is a relatively nice yellow over green quarterly flag with coat of arms at the centre. The arms has a 4-towered mural crown, a scroll reading "VILA DE ALVAIÁZERE" and a silver shield charged with a green tree and with a border of 12 green crosses, in X when the adjacent edge of the sield is straight and accompaniyn the edge’s angle when it is not.

Alvaiázere is a town in the district of Leiria and old province and future region of Beira Litoral. The municipality is a 161 km2 territory divided into 7 communes, inhabited by less than 9000 people.
