Olszyna commune flag

Here is the flag of Olszyna commune, in Lubań county, Dolnoslaskie wojwodship (in the SW corner of Poland, near Görlitz, Germany). Its flag is presented at the communal site, adopted 30 December 1997.

Description of flag: three horizontal stripes of red, white and green; in center abased the communal arms.
CoA: per pale a) three fesses gules, argent, vert; b) or six pales brown; over all a tree of natural colors; in base a saw argent charged with "OLSZYNA" noir.
German name: Langenöls, or Ober-Langenöls, Mittel-Langenöls und Nieder-Langenöls.

Looking at the Dictionary of Vexillology - see - it would appear that the correct term for the placing of the shield lower than is usual is the heraldic "abased".
