According to Album 2000 [pay00],
2:3 white flag with red border and in the middle a black anchor and four
yellow Suns, one in each corner. Similar, but not quite the same flag was
shown in Flaggenbuch [neu39] for the
Minister of War, but I guess this is not more
then coincidence.
The 1995 Album [pie95] shows the
flag with the same elements but arranged differently.
Željko Heimer, 02 Nov 2002
According to Album 1995 [pie95],
≅5:7 white flag with red border and a black anchor near the hoist and
four golden Suns arranged in diamond in fly.
Album 2000 [pay00] shows a flag with
the same elements but differently arranged. Is this an
earlier version, misreported / misinterpreted image or some entirely other flag
(e.g. of a Full Admiral), I can only
speculate.
Željko Heimer, 04 Nov 2002
According to Album 2000 [pay00],
2:3 white flag with red border and near the hoist a black anchor and in the
fly three yellow Suns in rising “semidiagonal”.
Flaggenbuch [neu39] does not include a
matching flag, but 1995 Album [pie95]
does have this one, but in ratio ≅5:7.
Željko Heimer, 02 Nov 2002 and 04 Nov 2002
Natn’l Geo.1917 [gmc17]
says that there is no flag for Full Admiral, Flaggenbuch
[neu39] also, as well as the two Album
issues ([pay00] and
[pie95]). However, Rank Insignia site
(www.rankinsignia.cz, broken link
as of 22 Feb 2005, Ivan Sache) shows that there is indeed the rank of
full Admiral in Peruan Navy, even if that may be: (a) relatively new and (b)
theoretical and ceremonial only. The question is if there exists just as (a)
relatively new and (b) ceremonial and theoretical only matching flag. The
four star flag shown for CinC Navy in Album
1995 might be one such flag (possibly misreported for
CinC-N back then).
Željko Heimer, 02 Nov 2002
According to Album 2000 [pay00],
2:3 white flag with red border and in the middle a black anchor below and
three yelow Suns, 2+1, above. Album 1995
[pie95] shows vertical
triband with the same emblems,
Flaggenbuch [neu39] also shows triband
but with only one sun and two anchors, National
Geographic 1917 [gmc17] also.
Željko Heimer, 02 Nov 2002
According to Album 1995 [pie95],
≅5:7 vertical triband of red-white-red with a black anchor in the white
stripe below and three Suns, 2+1, above. This is again a transitional model
between the 1939 and 2000 flags.
Željko Heimer, 04 Nov 2002
According to Flaggenbuch [neu39],
2:3 vertical tribar of red-white-red with yellow Sun in the top middle of the
white stripe and two blue anchors in saltire in the lower part. Entitled
Vice Admiral, also Division General.
Željko Heimer, 06 Nov 2002
According to National Geographic 1917
[gmc17] #667, 1:1 vertical triband of
red-white-red with yellow Sun in upper part of the white stripe and two
yellow anchors in saltire in lower half. This is similar to the
one at Flaggenbuch [neu39], but
there the anchors are blue (and ratio is 2:3).
Željko Heimer, 08 Nov 2002
According to Album 2000 [pay00],
2:3 white flag with red border abd black anchor in the middle with a sun
above it and an other below it.
As before, Flaggenbuch [neu39] and
National Geographic 1917 [gmc17]
both have an entirely different flag.
Željko Heimer, 03 Nov 2002

is the same as in Flaggenbuch except for the ratio.
Željko Heimer, 08 Nov 2002
Album 2000 [pay00] shows a 2:3
triangular vertical triband of red white red with yellow sun in fly top of
the white stripe and a balck anchor in hoist lower part of the central
stripe.
(Identical in Album 1995 [pie95].)
Željko Heimer, 03 and 05 Nov 2002
Flaggenbuch [neu39] and Natn’l
Geo. 1917 [gmc17] (as #671) both show a
similar pennant, but whithout the anchor, so that the sun is in the middle.
The anchor must have been added after WWII.
Željko Heimer, 03 Nov 2002
Album 2000 [pay00] shows a 2:3
triangular pennant, white with red border along all edges and with a black
anchor in the middle and large number indicating the division near the hoist.

bottom, a black anchor in the middle and the number indicating the flotilla
near the hoist.
The number 2 is given as an example. What are the other possibilities?
Željko Heimer, 03 Nov 2002
According to Album 1995 [pie95]
(description only, no image),
white swallow-tailed bordered red up and down, black anchor in center and

bottom edges.
Željko Heimer, 07 Nov 2002
Chef einer Zerstörerflotille translates as Commander of a Flotilla
of Destroyers. The question is what was the original Spanish title for that
position.
Santiago Dotor, 08 Nov 2002
According to Flaggenbuch [neu39],
2:3 triangular white pennant with red border on non-hoist edges and black
