Part of the action at the beginning of Casino Royale takes place in the embassy of Nambutu. The flag and arms of that fictional country appear in a sign. The flag is a cross between Djibouti and Mozambique.

About the movie Casino Royale, more can be found here. Unfortunately, none of the stills show the scene where the mentioned flag can be seen.

Well, it wasn't quite the opening scene, but yes, there were Madagascar patches outside and Nambutu patches inside. IIRC, the Nambutu flag was as above (green over black, white star in red triangle at hoist, white fimbriations), but I might have it upside down.
Jonathan Dixon, 29 november 2006

I just watched this movie, and went prepared for the flag glipses, thanks to FotW-ml :-) The Nambutu flag is seen first on a panel at the Embassy entrance and later on several shoulder patches inside, as said. (I could not see any actual flag, neither in- nor out-doors.)

The design seems to be rather (sorry, Jonathan!) red over black with black hoist triangle, with thin white pall overall deviding the three fields, and a red star on the triangle (not fimbriated). The shade of green seemed particularly light.

Octopussy

There was also a flag in "Octopussy", a white flag with an octopus design (and a gold fringe; part of the design?). I found it curious, since the octopus was also used as a SPECTRE emblem.

San Monique

In the James Bond´s movie" Live and Let Die" ( 1973 ), there is a flag for the fictional country of San Monique. It can be seen in one scene and this is the design: The colours of the horizontal bars are blue (FIAV B), white (FIAV W), green (FIAV V-), white (FIAV W) and blue (FIAV B). It is similar to Surinam´s national flag except for the colours and the national coat of arms. The movie clarified that this island is located in the Caraibeans.

Spectre

[Spectre]

This flag appears very often in one of James Bond's movies (can't remember which one. I saw it some years ago). That's the flag of the criminal organization 'Spectre' (very bad guys) It's an horizontal triband of yellow, black, yellow with nothing else on it.
