It would seem that “spanish” tribands are the preferred pattern for sport flags in Chile.

The flag of FEDEVELA is an elegant declension of the national flag. It is made of a white rectangular field with a thick Scandinavian cross. In the middle of the cross, a white disc bearing a red star. (Source: FEDEVELA website)
