About the flag:

"Sesquicentennial flag to fly in Osage Posted June 28, 2006

Congratulations go out to Carole Luse of Osage for creating the winning design for the official Osage Sesquicentennial Flag. Her entry, pictured here, won first place, while Jaceil Giselson's placed second and Tiare Chanel took third.
The Sesquicentennial Committee sponsored the flag design contest starting in the fall of 2004. All entries were submitted to the Osage Chamber, and the top three entries were posted in the conference room of Osage City Hall. The winners were selected by the Sesquicentennial Committee with Dea Shoars as the individual chair of the flag contest."
