From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed in September, 9th, 1999 by the decision N7/10 of city council session. The square panel divided horizontally in fir twig (top section goes on distance in 3/10 from the top edge and in the middle of a flag), in top white part aside a staff runs red roe, the bottom part is divided embattled into three equal vertical strips - green, yellow and green, on a yellow strip by a brown seam stitched parquet bars."

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed in September, 9th, 1999 by the decision N7/10 of city council session. Vert; or embattled pale from parquet bars, argent chapter separated in fir twig, in it runs gules roe. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs. The author is A.Grechylo.
The parquet specifies woodworking industry. Vert means riches of woods, and roe is the typical representative of local fauna. In the project was supposed to use the squirrel, because region is the only one place of its dwelling in oblast'.

The City

from the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"In 1870-1873, during a lining of the railway between Zhytomyr, Kovel' and Brest, for 7 kilometers from village Kivertsi (now Prylyts'ke), was built the station which has received the name of this village. The status of city was given in 1951."
