Antalya is the eighth biggest city of Turkey with a population of 600.000. It is located on the Mediterrenean coast of Turkey. Antalya is one of the biggest tourism centers of the country with its beaches, hotels and archeaological sites. It has a very warm climate, especially in summer. It is famous for citrus fruit, especially oranges. There is an annual film festival held in Antalya called "Golden Orange", which is the oldest and most important film festival of Turkey.

The flag of Antalya is white with the emblem of the city. The emblem is
composed of a small "a" letter for Antalya with sun rays and an orange figure in the
center. The figure also looks like a tree (may be a palm).
I don't have an official explanation of the figures on the emblem but these are
what people living there told me.

The emblem on the flag quite resembles the Turkish good luck charms that are sold all along the southern coast of Turkey and maybe in the rest of Turkye as well. These charms are believed to protect the owner from evil ghosts, and Turkish people wear them around their neck, on their keyrings, in their cars, etc.
