Municipal flag of Zreče

The coat of arms and flag of Zreče are prescribed by Decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi Občine Zreče, adopted on 14 September 1995, signed 28 September 1995 and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 57, 6 October 1995, pp. 4644-6, with effect on 20 October 1995.

The flag is derived from the coat of arms. It is rectangular, in proportions 2:1, and shall always be hoisted vertically. It is vertically divided green-yellow with the coat of arms in the middle, fimbriated yellow in part entering the green field. The width of the coat of arms on the flag should be 2/3 of the flag width (hoist).

The coat of arms of Zreče is shown on several websites, including the municipal website. It can be blazoned as "Or a heart vert voided by two bendlets wavy in base".
This is, of course, not how it is described in the Decision, where description in common language is used. The coat of arms is the visual representation of the municipal motto, "Zreče, the green heart under the Pohorje", Pohorje being the nearby mountains.
The Decision includes a very detailed construction sheet of the coat of arms and the flag, that provides everything needed for a precise drawing.

- Golden-yellow: RAL 1023
- Green RAL 6029.
