Municipal flag of Podvelka

The flag and coat of arms of Podvelka are prescribed by Decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi Občine Podvelka, adopted on 21 October 1999 and published in the official regional gazette Medobčinski uradni vestnik stajerske in Koroske regije, 36/1999.

The symbols were designed by Valt Jurečič of Heraldika d.o.o. and Heraldica Slovenica, who kindly provided drawings from which the images shown on this page were made.

The flag is rectangular, in proportions 2:5, vertically divided red-white-red with the middle field being square and containing the tower and trees from the coat of arms.

Stanič & Jakopič [j2s05] give the colour specifications as:
- Dark yellow: Pantone 109
- Light yellow: Pantone 1225
- Green: Pantone 361
- Blue: Pantone 361
- Red: Pantone 185
- Black: Pantone Black

The coat of arms of Podvelka pictures a chapel tower typical of the region flanked by two fir trees on a green mount with a water below. The icons on the tower are supposed to represent pictures bleached by weather.
