About the flag

Flag of Dzerjinski, which can be seen on line.
Pascal Gross, 18 Sep 2000

Red (and not pink, as previously reported) with the coat of arms in the center. The coat of arms features a white fortress which symbolizes the monastery Nikolo-Ugreshkogo built in 1380 by prince Dmitriy Donskoy in the honour of his victory over the Tatars. The value of this victory is reflected by the rising sun, symbol of freedom and peace. The blue wavy stripe symoblizes the river Moscova on which Dzerzhinsky is located. Authors of the flag: Yuri and Constantin Mochenov Ratio 2:3
