Flag adopted on 29 October 2002.
The city is famous for the beautiful women shawls made from wool in
textile factories of the city. A corner of one of these shawls with
flory ornament is reproduced on the flag. Blue colour symbolizes
river Klyazma. Ratio 2:3.
