Translation of the Koło County's flag and arms resolution:
"Aldermen of the Kołski (Koło) County unanimously voted for the establishment of the coat of arms and the flag of the County, during the solemn session of the Council on Wednesday, June 26. On the red background there is a white eagle sitting on the golden wheel and on the sides of it there are two roses. It signifies that Kołski (Koło) County is a part of the Wielkopolskie Voyvodship. The wheel is taken from the coat of arms of the City of Koło, and the roses are coming from the Arms of Poraj, the oldest symbol associated with the Land of Koło and connected to its patron, Saint Bogumil. The flag of the county is a white rectangle, on which sides are red, vertical stripes. In the center, located is coat of arms of the County". KOŁO (with the broken L) means WHEEL in English.
