Number of inhabitants: 17.053 (1 Jan 2003); area: 38,56 km². Settlements:
Bloemendaal, Overveen, Aerdenhout and Vogelenzang.
The municipal flag was adopted on 21 May 1981.
Description: A white hoist and a fly with seven equally wide stripes
of green and white; on the center of the hoiststripe opposite each white
fly-stripe a black "meerblad" (water-lily-leaf).
The three "meerbladeren" on white occur in the municipal CoA.
The four green stripes represent the municipal divisions (Bloemendaal
- Overveen - Aerdenhout - Vogelenzang).
Proportions: 2:3.
