Veracruz

Veracruz is a Mexican city and port (once the most important one) located East of Mexico (Veracruz), in the Gulf of Mexico. It was the first permanent settlement by Europpeans when Hernado Cortés founded it named it "Villa Rica de la Verdadera Cruz" in 1519. Industries: fishing, food, textile, mechanical. It is about 328,000 inhabitants.
