Adopted by Notice No. 49. The emblem was adopted on 18 September 1933,
Notice No 70. Although I didn't find this written anywhere,
the emblem has a stylised kanji kawa 川 (river), forming a circle around
a stylised kanji guchi 口 (mouth, entrance).
