About the flag

In the years 1937 - 1939 there was the so-called Non-Intervention Committee, consisting of 25 nations, to calm down the Spanish Civil War. The NIC had a rather large fleet to control and stop the transport of arms to the two parties of this war, mainly from France, Germany, Great Britain and Italy . All of these ships carried the NIC-Flag, consisting of two black balls on a white field. This flag had to be shown at day light and had to be illuminated during night.
