Fédération Internationale Féline (FIFe) styles itself as "a leading
international cat fancier society". It is an international federation,
with forty-two national cat federations as its members, thirty-six full
members and six probationers. The member federations agree to follow
common rules with regard to breeding stands, cattery names, shows,
judges and so on.
In February 2004, the Board of FIFe decided to purchase a flag for use
at the World Show in Copenhagen, Denmark and future world shows. Its
dimensions are 1.50 metres x 2.25 metres and is a dark red colour, with
the FIFe logo, reversed out in white on it.
In the absence of an official colour specification, this has been
prepared to FOTW standards, using the FOTW colour scheme, which accounts
for some of the pixellated effect when looking closely. Note, the logo
of the FIFe has been used for these scholarly, non-commercial, purposes,
under the terms of the 'Creative Commons' license, as delineated on its
web site.
