The state is listed by Soszynski as a "thikana" (vassal) entity, but other
sources recognize it as a fully fledged state, with gun salutes even.

"The State of Shahpura uses a flag on the model of the 'Panchranga' of the
Rajputs. Its five horizontal bands are ( from the top): green, dark blue,
yellow, red and white".
