Disclaimer

This is one of the villages in the Golan Heights, an area of Syria occupied by Israel since 1967 and unilaterally annexed in 1981. Under Israeli law and de facto, the Golan Heights are part of Israel. International law and the United Nations still recognize the Golan Heights as part of Syria.

Description

Local Council Ein Knaya is one of the four Druze villages in the Golan Heights - and the smallest, about 1,000 inh. Situated 3 km NW to Mas'ade. Local Council since 1982. I had no time to visit it when I toured the Golan Heights, so I will have to be satisfied with the information I received that its flag is white with emblem (colour not specified). Flag probable and pending further confirmation. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP 4555, 7 August 1997.
