Overview

Privlaka is a community in the Zadar County, 30 km northwest of Zadar along the coast line, at the northermost point of the large peninsula of Ravni Kotari (the Zadar region). 2'200 inhabitants all in the single settlement of the same name. The historical traces document prescence of the Librnes here in pre-Roman times. Privlaka (kod Zadra) is not to be confuzed with Privlaka (kod Vinkovaca) in the Vukovar-Srijem County.
Checking the latest official gazettes of the Zadar County at <www.zadarska-zupanija.hr>, I found some news in the recently adopted statutes of several municipalities:
Privlaka: Statut Opcine Privlaka, 27.01.2006, Službeni glasnik Zadarske županije, br. 3/06, 01.02.2006.
The newly adopted Statutes include the desription of the coat of arms and the flag that must have been adopted a few years prior to it, I estimate around 2002. The coat of arms of Privlaka is: azure a seahorse argent. A seahorse or hippocampus is a symbol of marine possition of Privlaka. The flag is yellow with the coat of arms in the middle.
The coat of arms is shown on the web site of the tourist office of Privlaka: Turisticka zajednica Opcine Privlaka,15.08.2006. There is also shown a version of it as anymated funny cartoon you may wish to check.
I based my drawing on a larger image of the coat of arms available at <hr.wikipedia.org>.
