Ljubecica is a community in the Varadin County, 20
km south east of Varadin, 2,000
inhabitants, 1,300 in the village of the same name.
The coat of arms of Ljubecica is: sable a goute d'eau
fimbriated or. The flag of Ljubecica is white with the coat
of arms bordered yellow in the middle. Ratio 1:2.
Although it seems that it should be easy to try to reconstruct
this flag from description only, I do not dare to do it before
seeing some picture of the coat of arms first.
The symbols were adopted on 1st August 2006, published in the official gazette of the County:
Odluka o opisu i uporabi grba i zastave Opcine Ljubecica,
1. kolovoza 2006, Slubeni vjesnik Varadinske
upanije, br. 20/06, 16.08.2006.

The flag is described according to the adoption decision, but Marko
Vitez now sent me the photo of the actual flag hoisted in
the building of teh Counyt Assembly in Varadin.
The coat of arms is sable a goute d'eau fimbriated or that is
green with a white drop and teh shield bordered yellow. The flag
of Ljubecica is described white with the coat of arms
bordered yellow in the middle, however, the actual flag on the
photo does not have yellow bordering around the already yellow
bordered shield, but a black line instead of it, and I follow
that design.

Coat of Arms and flag were designed by Heraldic Art d.o.o from
Rijeka and approved by the Ministry of Administration/Central
State Office for Administration before 2006.
