Vrbanja is a community in the Vukovar-Srijem county, counting
some 5,200 inhabitants, mostly Croats but also a hundred or so
Slovaks and half as many Serbs. The main village of the same name
being some 25 km southeast of upanja.
In the official
gazette of the County there is decision on the adoption of
the Coat of Arms and the flag: Statutarna odluka o izmjenama i
dopunama Statuta Opcine Vrbanja, 19. lipnja 2007, Slubeni
vjesnik Vukovarsko-srijemske upanije, br. 7/2007, 19.
lipnja 2007.
The coat of arms of Vrbanja is described there "in a
squarish shield, vert, in chief oak leaves and an acorn or and in
base four wheat ears also or". The flag is white with the
coat of arms bordered yellow in the middle.
