Overview

The community of Lasinja is in the Karlovac County, in it north-eastern part, some 15 km NE of Karlovac , counting just under 2,000 inhabitants, with nearly 600 in the main village of the same name. It occupies the right bank of the Kupa river (and therefore a number of villages have attribute "right" - Desno Sredicko, Desni Štefanki... while many other villages have attribute "Lasinjski" - of Lasinja). Until 1997 it was administratively part of the Sisak-Moslavina County.
The Coat of Arms of Lasinja is azure a swallow volant proper and in base a bar wavy argent. The swallow is canting the name of the community. The wavy bar signifies the richness in water resources, especially the Kupa river.
There is probably a flag to go with but until now unknown.
The symbols were designed by the Heralid Art d.o.o company in Rijeka.
