Overview

Barilovic' is a community in the Karlovac County, due south-west of Karlovac (Barilovic' is about 15 km from the city of Karlovac), between rivers Korana and Mrežnica that run almost parallely for some 40 km. It has almost 3,100 inhabitants in no less then 44 villages, just over 10% being Serbs. Until 2006 the community name in the official gazette is Barilovic'i.
The coat of arms of Barilovic is: Gules a bend argent between two swords bendwise of the same hilted an pommed or. The swords are included as the symbols of defence, as the community encompasses several historically important defence sites from various wars.
The flag is most probably also adopted, but I have no info as yet.
