Pojezerje is a community in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, at
the northermost edge of the County in the north part of the
Neretva valey in the carst highlands part. This is one of the
very few communities in Croatia whose name does not match any
place in the community - the seat of administration being the
village of Otric-Seoci, formed in 1980 by merging of the villages
of Otric and Seoce, the other villages are Kobiljaca, Mali
Prolog, Pozla Gora, Brecici and Dubrave. The last two are nowdays
uninhabited. Totaling about 1300 inhabitant, 2/3 in the main
village.
The coat of arms of Pojezerje is: Azure a bend wavy argent
between a bunch of grapes with a leaf and a fig also with a leaf
all or. The wavy band refers to the community name, meaning
roughly "(region) around the lakes". The main products
of the region are vine and figs.
The flag is most probably also adopted, but I have no info as
yet.
