Overview

Lumbarda is a community on the south-east end of the island of Korcula in the Dubrovnik and Neretva County, 130 km northwest of Dubrovnik, 1,200 inhabitants in the single town in the community. The region was settled in 4 century BC, Geek colony from  which gravestones are preserved (most notable the "psefizma", an inscribed stone tablet). Since 15th century here were built numerous vacantions residences (fortified with towers and loop holes!) for the Dubrovnik and Korcula civic nobility and merchants and still today this is an important tourist resort. The community was established in 1997 by secession from the city of Korcula.
The coat of arms of Lumbarda is, according to the statutes, "a thought out system of these symbols and colours": white (stone - psefizma: a 4th century BC inscription tablet), blue (sea - sky), golden-yellow (sun - vine sort grk), green (pine - olive).
The flag is "thought out system of blue and golden-yellow" (sic!).
Maybe someone understands this better then I am, but this must be the wierdest description of symbols in Croatian legislation that I have come by yet.
