Overview

In the official gazette of the Medimurjs County there is the decision adopting the symbols: Odluka o grbu i zastavi Opcine Štrigova, 23.05.2006, Službeni glasnik Medimurske županije, br. 7/06, 30.06.2006.
The coat of arms is described as: vert a two towered church or issuant from a bunch of grapes of the same within a bordure also or. The church is that of St. Jerome, a baroque church in Štrigova.
An article in the "Medimurje, županijske novine", nr. 2552 of 23.03.2004 explains how the local commission determined that the coat of arms should include the church and a bunch of grapes. The designer, Heraldic-art omitted the church with explanation that there are already too many churches in the communal coat of arms in Croatia (no doubt consulting the state commission about this), but the local commission was determined and apparently managed to get the approval with the church in the mean time.
The flag is green with the coat of arms in the middle.
