Mursko Sredice (Sredis<c/e) got city status in 1997.
It has about 5,000 inhabitants, ca. 3,500 in the town itself.
The coat of arms might have been used for some time even before
1990's, but I have no exact data at the moment, I suppose, 1995
might be estimated year when it was officially legislated. It is:
Vert a bar argent in chief and a coal machine or. The mining
equipement shown in the coat of arms is a reminder of extensive
coal mining industry that made the city prosperous and is for a
long time closed now, and to the oil exploatation that is done in
the area ever since the end of 19th century.
The flag is yellow with the golden bordered coat of arms next to
the hoist (see: Previously Reported
(Wrong?) Flag). A green flag was also reported but the status
is unknown.

Tomislav ipek visited Mursko Sredisce recently on
several occasions and reports that the flag in use is the green
one with the coat of arms off-set towards hoist and the top.
The yellow flag reported earlier in use, remains of unknown
status, possibly it was an early variant, replaced with the green
flag eventually (there is also possibility that the report is
erroneous).
