The flag and coat of arms of the Municipality of Belica in
Medjimurska county, Croatia, are presented at <www.medjimurje.com>.

As Valentin noted, the local newspapers include the drawings
of the flag and coat of arms of Belica. What Valentin failed to
note is that these symbols have not yet been adopted, they are
only proposals at this state, even though it is stated in the
text that no obstruction for their adoption is expected.
The proposed coat of arms of Belica is: vert three potato flowers
argent seeded or. Potato is among the most important of the
agricultural products of Medimurje. The proposed flag is green
with the coat of arms bordered yellow in the middle.
The symbols were determined by the community government and yet
have to be adopted by the assembly, although reportedly
"there are no issues about it".

The symbols are formally adopted on 22 August 2006. The
document adopting them is issued in the official gazette:
Odluka o grbu i zastavi Opcine Belica, 22. kolovoza 2006,

Belica is a community in the Medimurje County, 7 km north-east of
Cakovec, in the very middle of the
county, with 3,500 inhabitants, 2,500 in the village of the same
name. It may not come as a surprise that the Association of the
potato growers of Medimurje is seated in Belica.

I have taken a look at the newly issued official gazettes in
the Medimurje county <www.glasila.hr> and
I report here some news:
The decision: Odluka o izmjeni i dopuni Statuta Opcine Belica,
5.06.2007, Službeni glasnik Medimurske županije, br.
6/07, 30.06.2007 is the statutory amendments to make the
Statutes in line with the new design of the symbols adopted in
2006 Decision.
