Nicolas Kyriakides, shipowner, was member of the Founding Committee, later the Board of Director, of Athens College, organized in 1924 and recognized as a "Hellenic-American Educational Foundation".

According to Brown's Flags and Funnels of British and Foreign Steamship Companies [wed26], the house flag of Kyriakides, a company based in Piraeus, is blue with a white cross and in the middle a red disc charged with a white K.
