The Maritime Timetable Images website shows a similar flag of New Epirotiki Steamship Navigation Co. (Petros G. Potamianos), but with the cross placed near the hoist.
The same website presents Epirotiki Line as an American company; on a timetable concerning sailings effective June, 1959, the yellow cross is shown on a black field.
On Josef Nuesse's website is shown a purple pennant with the same yellow cross, accompanied in the hoist by the golden writing EPIROTIKI LINES, placed vertically, in a Latin font resembling Greek letters.
Quoting the company website:
When Tassos Potamianos died in 1902 George undertook the management of the company which was growing fast and his deep belief in Christianity inspired him to use the emblem of the Byzantine Cross as the company's trademark which symbolizes freedom, at the same time naming his company Epirotiki.
