FNCP (Fédération Nationale des Clubs de Plage - Beach Club National
Federation) was created on 27 May 1989. The beach clubs are private
structures proposing diverse recreational activities to children on
beaches (during the day, and sometimes evening events such as barbecues
for the whole families). FNCP has currently 110 members, which signed a
quality charter set up in 1993.
FNCP is sponsored by Journal de Mickey, a youth weekly edited by the
Disney Hachette Presse group. Journal de Mickey was published for
the first time on 21 October 1934 by Paul Winkler, the founder of the
Opera Mundi agency, who had purchased the licence for Disney cartoons
in France. Publication stopped in 1943 but resumed in 1952 and was
never interrupted since then.

The beach clubs members of FNCP are labelled Clubs de Plage Mickey; they have a red flag with in the middle a logotype showing Mickey Mouse surrounded by a yellow ring charged with CLUB DE PLAGE (beach club); the name of the sponsor, Le journal de Mickey, is written below Mickey's feet.

Flag of OJEM - Image by Ivan Sache, 16 June 2006
The beach club OJEM, located in Le Touquet, north of France, has a specific flag, which is horizontally divided blue-white. On the OJEM website, the flag is shown on photographies and explicitely described as a rallying signal. There are indeed two OJEM clubs called OJEM Mickey and OJEM Jeunesse (Youth).
