Description

Diagonally divided from bottom hoist to top fly, the top hoist light blue with a white fleur-de-lis and crescent (points to top), the whole as high as half of the flag's height and separated from the top and hoist sides by 1/8 and 1/12 of the flag's height respectively, and the bottom fly yellow with four red diagonal stripes. Ratio 2:3.

The flag is almost a banner of the arms (blazoned Azure a crescent surmounted by a fleur-de-lis Argent, on a base Or four pallets Gules). The crescent and the fleur-de-lis (as well as blue and white) are attributes of the Virgin Mary, patroness of the municipality, and the yellow-red stripes remind of the former jurisdiction of the Kings of Aragon. Flag adopted 6th April 1999. Source for image and text: Fluvià 2001. The image in this source shows the top hoist as dark blue, rather than light blue as in the official description.
