Overview

Ibarra is the capital of Imbabura Province (Ecuador). Flag at <www.municipiodeibarra.org> . CoA at the same page. Information from this page as follows:
"On the 25th of June of 1951 through Official Decree of the Illustrious Municipality of San Miguel of Ibarra, were declared officially as symbols of the canton. These symbols had already been used and recognized as Symbols of the County of Ibarra since 1607, at the first celebration of the foundation of the City."
