From <www.gobernacionguayas.gov.ec>:

Image of the flag at <www.guayas.gov.ec/mariduena_historia.htm>. I have draw this flag and have taken the cloth to an uniform ratio of 1:2. Flag adopted on 10 August 1996; Canton established 28 January 1992.

At another page at the same site <www.guayas.gov.ec/htm/marcelino.htm>, the flag (and flag on Coat of Arms) appears with yellow triangle which is in consisting with the description in <www.gobernacionguayas.gov.ec> as: "triángulo amarillo"...
Dov Gutterman, 8 September 2003

I think the flag has a yellow triangle. It is logical.
