Album 2000 [pay00] shows a

According to Gresham Carr’s Flags of the World, 1956
[car56], these flags are dark blue
and have proportions 5:9. In [kan56]
the cross is half the height of the flag.
Mark Sensen, 13 Apr 1999

The 1917 National Geographic Magazine article
[gmc17] shows a different design,
based on the state flag.
Do we have any idea when these flags were adopted and when were
replaced with current set (and if there was something in between)?

Album 2000 [pay00] shows a
blue triangular pennant with white Greek cross — similar to
Chief of General Staff but without the initials.
Ratio is not indicated, but seems equal to it, 1:2.

Do we have any idea when this flags was adopted and when was this
rank cancelled?
