HADAG is a shipping company in Hamburg, which was established in 1888.
Until 1983 the company ran the cruiseliner "ASTOR" But nowadays it is a
mere passenger-transport company and is also running the harbour-ferries
under the roof of Hamburgs public transport HVV.
As times were changing the volume of passengers declined from 21,300,000
in 1958 down to less than 2,000,000 passengers in 1989. Today the company
has 85 employees and runs 19 ships on 6 branch-lines.
This flag was used from 1969 to about 1980.

HADAG Cruise line: The flag is divided by saltire. The colours are green
(top and bottom) and white (hoist and fly). The centre is superimposed
by a red shield with a narrow white tressure and white capital "HA" over
"D" over "AG".
According to companies own flagchart this is the company-flag used
between 1969 and 1980. I also saw an old photo, showing a very big flag
hoisted upon the Landungsbrücken building in Hamburgs harbour area.
According to KLUDAS this is the flag of HADAG-Cruise line, which no
longer exists.

The flag is used since the 1980's. It is the same as the company's logo.
It is a white flag. At the bottom are white waves topped by red waves
topped by green waves.Above all are white capitals with green edges forming
the word "HADAG". They are placed as if they are swimming upon the waves.
