White flag with a dark blue border and a red iron cross in the center.

The border around the flag has to be black, as the society's colors are black, white, red. The cross is slighly different. Attached photograph (copyrighted!) from the society's URL.

From the DGzRS FAQ webpage: The DGzRS flag was granted 24 May 1867 by Decree of the Chancellor of the then North German Confederation. Using the colours of this confederation, the flag shows the Hanseatic cross as emblem. The flag can be seen in this picture of the DGzRS Zander rescue boat.

Here is an enhanced version of the the DGzRS flag than is currently on de~dgzrs.html. The arms of the cross are broader. It is described as "Hanseatic Cross"; however it has the usual form of the Iron Cross.
I can't say, however, whether the width of the black rim is correct.
