Established: 8 August 1893.
Description of flag: It is a red flag with a red shield with a broad
white edge. On the edge is the red inscription in capital letters: "HAMMERDEICHER
(top) RUDERVEREIN v.1893(bottom)". In the shield is a yellow pair of crossed
oars.

There existed an older flag. It was simply red with yellow inscription
"H" (shifted to hoist, "R" (shifted to top), "V" (shifted to fly) and "1893"
(shifted to bottom).
