Kyritz has a new coat of arms and with that a new flag:
The city of Kyritz carried out a public discussion about a new coat
of arms and a flag within the years 2004 and 2005. On 20 April 2005
the citycouncil decided, supported by the majority, for a variant of the
coat of arms, which was already led before in similar form for and a flag
for the city for Kyritz in banner form as well as as a flag.
Coat of arms description: Argent, a red castle with four towers and
wall and gate closed, covered with a green shield with a golden lily.
Flag description: Yellow flag cloth with the coat of arms established
in the middle. The approval of the department of the interior of the coat
of arms, the flag and the service seal was carried out with letter of 6
July 2005.

Kyritz is a small town in Ostprignitz-Ruppin County. The flag is yellow-green-blue
with the arms in the middle. Source: Günther
1996c. According to Günther 1996c,
the flag was yellow-white-yellow until 1945. After 1990 the current flag
was adopted.
