According to Stadler 1964-1971 the flag is red-yellow-red, see also Ralf Hartemink's International Civic Arms website.
Stefan Schwoon, 4 Mar 2001

From Ralf Hartemink's International Civic Arms website: "Karlsruhe is a relatively young city. It was founded around the castle of Count Karl Wilhelm of Baden-Durlach in 1715-1718. The arms were granted to the young city in 1718. The main division of the field is the arms of Baden in opposite colours. During the 18th and 19th centuries the colours were often identical to the arms of Baden. Not until 1895 were the original colours restored"

Neureut district

[Neureut district flag] image by Chris King, 4 Jul 2007

This flag was given to my father in the late 1970s while he was in Karlsruhe, West Germany. He is not sure, but thinks it may be a city-specific flag. I have crawled the internet, but cannot find a match to this flag.

According to the coat of arms this is the flag of Neureut, a district of Karlsruhe.
