Nelahozeves municipality flag
Nelahozeves is a municipality in the Central Bohemian Region (Mělník okres)
in Czechia. Its flag and CoA were granted by the Czech Parliament on 17
April 2006, and published on the net at the municipal
website.
Flag: red over blue, divided by a wavy line; at top hoist a white saltire;
at the hoist on the wave a yellow 6-pointed star; at bottom hoist a yellow
lyre.
The (hoist of the) flag is a banner of arms.
Meaning: blue is for the Moldava river. The saltire symbolizes St.
Andrew, the patron-saint of the village church. The lyre is in honor of
the composer Antonín Dvořák.
