Kladno city flag
Lord mayor (of Kladno) Mgr. Milan Volf received on August 14 2001 in State
Acts Hall of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament the FLAG OF
THE CITY OF KLADNO from hands of Chamber Chairman Mr.Václav Klaus.
Description:
Two vertical (equal) stripes - blue and white. In the blue field there
is a demidiated white eagle with yellow beak and claw, red tongue and yellow
crescent with trefoil on the breast. In the white field there is a (natural)
lynx rampant, touching the margin of the stripe with its hand. In the chief
of flag there are white mining tools bound together with a yellow ribbon
Ratio is 2 : 3.
It is (in fact) not stristly an armorial banner, becaude the Coat of
Arms has blue background. This is a compromise between historical
flag and above mentioned Armorial banner. The former flag has the shield
placed into the middle of bi-colour field (white over blue).
