"Lloró is a municipality and town in the Chocó
Department, Colombia. It holds the Highest Average Annual
Precipitation record measured at 523.6 inches (13,300 mm)
which makes it the wettest place in the world. The Spanish verb llorar
"to cry" can also be used as a metaphor for rain, and
so lloró can mean "It rained". However, this is
not the origin of the name; the town is named for Gioró, a
pre-Columbian indigenous chief."
Lloró flag is horizontal green over white.
