El Copey is municipality in Cesar Department. It was founded
on 8 November 1936 and became a municipality by ordinance 008 of
3 November 1971.
The flag of El Copey is 145 cm.X 215 cm.is size, horizontally
divided green-white and charge with the municipal coat of arms. Wikipedia show
it in plain version.
Information in Spanish: "Las medidas de la bandera Son 2.15
metros de largo y ancho 1.45 mts, presenta la superior de color
blanco (2.15X7.3 c.) que simboliza la riqueza algodonera de la
región, así como tanbien la franja inferior de color verde
oscuro (2.15 X 7.3 cm) representa el esplendor y la belleza de
nuestra sierra nevada de Santa Marta y la hermosa cuenca del rio
Ariguani."
