Overview

Chámeza is a municipality in Casanare Department. It was founded on 10 March 1843, municipality since 1956.
The flag of Chámeza is quartered per saltire red-green and charged with a brick tower at its center. The tower is used for production of salt.
Information in Spanish:
"La torre representa la producción salinera, el rojo la sangre derramada por las personas que ayudaron a liberar nuestra gran nación, y las franjas verdes la prosperida de nuestra tierra."
