The University of Manitoba is situated in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The logo
can be seen on the university web site and forms
the basis of the university flag (q v). However, while there is a
statement
regarding flag etiquette, including the university flag, there is no actual image of this flag.
There is nevertheless a very good image of the University logo (crest) on
Wikipedia. I
therefore contacted the University Senate, as that body was
responsible for issuing the statement on flag etiquette. I received a
very prompt reply to my e-mail from the Office of the Secretary to the
Senate, which described the flag as being claret and orange, with the
crest (logo) in the center of the flag. The parts of the crest which
were in claret were bounded by an orange line, and those which were in
orange were delimited by a claret one. The name of the university was
written in orange beneath the crest. However, I did not receive any
information with respect to the actual dimensions and proportions of
the flag, nor was there any information regarding
the shape of the lettering comprising the university name.
